White Choc Peppermint Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup room temperature unsalted butter.
02 - 1/2 cup vegetable shortening.
03 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
04 - 3/4 cup packed brown sugar.
05 - 1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
06 - 1 teaspoon mint extract.
07 - 2 large eggs from the fridge.
08 - 3 cups regular flour.
09 - 1 teaspoon baking soda.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon table salt.
11 - 3/4 cup smashed candy canes.
12 - 1 cup white baking chips, with extra for decoration.

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven going at 350°F and put parchment on your cookie trays.
02 - Whip your butter, shortening and both sugars till they're light and airy for about 2 minutes.
03 - Drop in your vanilla, mint flavoring, then pop in eggs one after another.
04 - Slowly mix in your flour, baking soda and salt at low power.
05 - Gently fold in your candy cane bits and white chips.
06 - Scoop and roll your dough into 1-1.5 tablespoon sized balls.
07 - Put your balls on the tray with 2 inches between them.
08 - Pop in oven for 8-10 minutes till the tops aren't shiny anymore.
09 - Stick extra white chips on top while cookies are still warm.
10 - Let cookies sit on tray for 10 minutes before moving to cooling rack.

# Notes:

01 - You can make jumbo treats using 3 tablespoons of dough per cookie.
02 - The raw dough keeps in the freezer up to 2 months without issues.
03 - These make wonderful presents during winter celebrations.
