Tangy Cabbage Taco Slaw (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Slaw

01 - 6 cups green cabbage, finely shredded (approximately 1/4 medium head, tightly packed)
02 - 1 cup green onion, thinly sliced on the diagonal
03 - 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped

→ Dressing

04 - 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
05 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 2 teaspoons lime zest
07 - 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
08 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or 1/4 teaspoon table salt

# Instructions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream (or yogurt), mayonnaise (or olive oil), lime zest, lime juice, and salt. Stir until smooth and well blended.
02 - Add shredded green cabbage, sliced green onion, and chopped coriander leaves to the bowl with the dressing.
03 - Mix thoroughly using hands or tongs to ensure all vegetables are coated with the dressing. Set aside for at least 60 minutes to allow the cabbage to soften and absorb flavors.
04 - Toss once more before serving. Use as a fresh filling or topping.

# Notes:

01 - For best texture, prepare the slaw up to a day ahead; excess water can be drained if desired.
