Spiced Gingerbread Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup butter, melted.
02 - 3/4 cup white sugar.
03 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla.
05 - 1/3 cup dark molasses.
06 - 1 egg, large size.
07 - 2 cups flour.
08 - 2 teaspoons soda.
09 - 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder.
11 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
12 - 1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground.
13 - 1/2 teaspoon table salt.
14 - 6 ounces soft cream cheese.
15 - 3 tablespoons soft butter.
16 - 2 1/4 cups confectioners sugar.
17 - 3/4 teaspoon vanilla flavoring.
18 - Festive sprinkles (if you want).

# Instructions:

01 - Set rack to middle position and warm oven to 350°F.
02 - Coat a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray.
03 - Stir together flour, soda, all spices, and salt.
04 - Whip butter, both sugars, vanilla, and molasses till light.
05 - Put in egg and blend thoroughly.
06 - Add dry mix to wet and stir just until blended.
07 - Pour batter into pan and smooth top.
08 - Let it bake for 15-20 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.
09 - Allow to cool completely before frosting.
10 - Whip the soft cream cheese with butter.
11 - Mix in sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
12 - Spread frosting on cooled bars and add sprinkles if you like.
13 - Slice into 24 equal squares.
