Peanut Crunchy Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
02 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
03 - ¼ cup softened butter.
04 - 1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter.
05 - 2 tablespoons shortening.
06 - 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal, lightly crushed.

# Instructions:

01 - Cover a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
02 - Mix butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar in a big bowl. Add cereal and stir until it all sticks together.
03 - Roll into small balls, set them on the baking sheet, and chill for no less than 30 minutes.
04 - Put chocolate chips and shortening in a big microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for a minute, stir, then heat again for 20-30 seconds at a time, stirring until smooth.
05 - Dip the chilled balls in the melted chocolate, then place them back on the sheet until the coating sets.
06 - Keep them in a sealed container in the fridge for a few days or freeze for longer storage.

# Notes:

01 - Both smooth and chunky peanut butter work for this.
02 - They’ll last weeks in the freezer.
