Oven Roasted Garlic Cabbage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large head green or red cabbage

→ Seasoning Mixture

02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Optional Toppings

09 - Grated Parmesan cheese
10 - Red pepper flakes
11 - Fresh parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease to prevent sticking.
02 - Trim away any wilted outer leaves from the cabbage. Using a sharp knife, slice the cabbage into 2 cm thick rounds, ensuring the core remains intact to hold the rounds together.
03 - In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper until well blended.
04 - Arrange cabbage rounds on the prepared tray in a single layer. Evenly brush both sides with the seasoned oil mixture.
05 - Roast in the centre of the oven for 25–30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden edges form and cabbage is tender.
06 - Garnish with grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately for optimal texture.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, slice the cabbage uniformly to ensure even roasting and prevent burning.
02 - Red cabbage provides a deeper colour but a slightly earthier flavour compared to green cabbage.
