Orange Cranberry Loaf (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup sugar, granulated.
02 - 1/2 cup butter, left to soften.
03 - 1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated orange peel.
04 - Two eggs, large size.
05 - 3/4 cup half-and-half cream.
06 - 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract.
07 - 1 cup cranberries, split in half.
08 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder.
09 - 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour.
10 - Half teaspoon of salt.
11 - 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice.
12 - 1 tablespoon milk, whole.
13 - 1 cup confectioners' sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven to 350°F and get a 9x5 pan ready with parchment paper.
02 - Mix sugar and butter together until they turn fluffy and pale.
03 - Throw in the orange zest, eggs, half-and-half, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
04 - Gradually mix in flour, salt, and baking powder until it's all blended.
05 - Scoop half the batter into the pan, then sprinkle on half the cranberries.
06 - Add the rest of the batter and scatter the remaining cranberries over the top.
07 - Bake for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean.
08 - Leave it in the pan for an hour to cool off before taking it out.
09 - Whip together the glaze ingredients until they're silky smooth.
10 - Spread the glaze over the cooled cake and let it set before slicing.
