No-Bake Haystacks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - One 11-ounce pack of butterscotch chips.
02 - 1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter (something like Jif or Skippy works).
03 - 3/4 cup of salted, dry-roasted peanuts.
04 - 12-ounce bag of fried chow mein noodles.
05 - A pinch (about 1/4 teaspoon) of kosher salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Lay down sheets of parchment or wax paper on two baking trays.
02 - Roughly chop up the peanuts.
03 - Combine the butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and salt in a microwave-friendly bowl.
04 - Microwave for a couple of minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
05 - If it isn't melted all the way, heat it for 20-second intervals until smooth.
06 - Toss the peanuts and chow mein noodles into the mix.
07 - Stir everything until it's all coated evenly.
08 - Drop roughly 2 heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking trays.
09 - Allow them to set for 20 minutes in the fridge or 40 minutes at room temperature.

# Notes:

01 - Stick to regular peanut butter, not the natural kind.
02 - A double boiler works as a microwave alternative.
03 - Should give you around 36 treats.
04 - Keep in a container with a tight lid.
05 - Freeze them for up to three months, if needed.
06 - They're perfect for gatherings or festive occasions.
