# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - 225 grams unsalted butter, softened
02 - 200 grams granulated sugar
03 - 220 grams packed brown sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 375 grams all-purpose flour
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 0.5 teaspoon salt

→ Mix-ins

09 - 170 grams maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
10 - 175 grams semisweet chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
03 - Incorporate the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the creamed ingredients until just combined.
05 - Gently fold the chopped maraschino cherries and semisweet chocolate chips into the dough.
06 - Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
07 - Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and set.
08 - Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for several minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

# Notes:

01 - To ensure even texture, thoroughly drain and pat dry the maraschino cherries before chopping.
02 - For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
