Let puff pastry sit out for 30-45 minutes to soften. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss sliced berries with cornstarch and sugar. Let them rest for 15 minutes.

Whip the cream cheese until fluffy. Stir in vanilla and powdered sugar till smooth.

Slice each pastry sheet into six rectangles. Lightly score a border on each piece, but don’t cut all the way through.

Spread cheese mix in the middle of each piece. Add a spoonful of strawberries on top. Brush edges with egg wash and sprinkle a bit of sugar on the edges.

If the pastry feels too soft, let it chill for 15 minutes. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

Let them cool slightly for 5 minutes. Add warmed jam or drizzle with glaze.
