01 -
Start by warming up your oven to 350°F and line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper.
02 -
Combine butter, eggs, cake mix, eggnog, nutmeg, and rum in a bowl. Beat until smooth.
03 -
Pour the mixture into your parchment-lined pan and bake for 55-60 minutes. Check it’s done with a toothpick.
04 -
Once baked, let it cool all the way. Break the cake into fine crumbs.
05 -
Add the frosting bit by bit to the crumbs until it can be shaped.
06 -
Roll the mixture into small balls—about 1 inch in size—and lay them on a sheet covered in parchment.
07 -
Put the balls into the fridge, leaving them there for a few hours or overnight to harden.
08 -
Follow package instructions to melt the candy coating.
09 -
Use a fork to dip the chilled balls into the melted coating.
10 -
Before the candy coating sets, sprinkle the top with a little sea salt.
11 -
Let them chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes, so everything sets perfectly.
