Effortless Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - One bag of store-bought caramels or half a batch of homemade caramel.
02 - 16 ounces of premium-quality chocolate.
03 - 40 pieces of pretzel rods.

# Instructions:

01 - Cover two baking trays with parchment, get caramel ready by either melting or making it fresh, then give it 15 minutes to cool.
02 - Spoon caramel over the pretzel rods. Let the extra drip off, then lay them on parchment and adjust the shape if needed.
03 - Heat the chocolate in a microwavable bowl on 50% power. Stir it every 30 seconds till it’s nice and smooth.
04 - Pour that melted chocolate into a tall glass. Dunk the caramel-dipped pretzel rods inside and, if necessary, smooth it out with a spoon.
05 - Sprinkle on your choice of toppings while the chocolate is still wet. Let everything harden before peeling off the parchment.

# Notes:

01 - Thicker pretzel brands like Snyder's work best for this.
02 - Stick with quality baking chocolate; avoid using chocolate chips.
03 - You can make these up to seven days in advance.
