Cover two baking trays with parchment, get caramel ready by either melting or making it fresh, then give it 15 minutes to cool.

Spoon caramel over the pretzel rods. Let the extra drip off, then lay them on parchment and adjust the shape if needed.

Heat the chocolate in a microwavable bowl on 50% power. Stir it every 30 seconds till it’s nice and smooth.

Pour that melted chocolate into a tall glass. Dunk the caramel-dipped pretzel rods inside and, if necessary, smooth it out with a spoon.

Sprinkle on your choice of toppings while the chocolate is still wet. Let everything harden before peeling off the parchment.
