01 -
Warm up your oven to 350°F first, then grab a 9x13 inch pan and coat it with cooking spray.
02 -
In a big bowl, stir together your rice, condensed soups, water, milk, and the onion soup packet until everything's blended well.
03 -
Dump the rice mix into your greased dish and smooth it out flat on the bottom.
04 -
Toss half your grated cheddar on top of the rice mix, making sure it's spread all over.
05 -
Push the chicken breasts into the rice mixture so they're partially sunk in.
06 -
Wrap the dish tightly with foil, making sure there aren't any open spots around the edges.
07 -
Stick it in your hot oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, until you can tell the rice is soft.
08 -
Poke the chicken to make sure it's fully cooked with no pinkish parts left.
09 -
Take off the foil and scatter the rest of your cheese across the top.
10 -
Let it sit for 15-20 minutes before you dig in so it gets just the right thickness.
11 -
Dish it up hot with some green veggies or a simple salad on the side.
