01 - 1 1/2 cups salsa with chunks.
02 - 1 pound of lean ground beef, about 90% lean.
03 - Two 14-ounce cans of red kidney beans.
04 - A 14-ounce can filled with diced tomatoes.
05 - 8 oz of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded.
06 - 1 tablespoon of chili seasoning mix.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 400°F and allow it to heat up fully.
02 - In a large pan, brown the ground beef on medium heat until no pink color is left.
03 - Pour off the fat from the beef completely so it’s not oily.
04 - Blend the canned tomatoes in a food processor until they’re fully smooth.
05 - Place the kidney beans into a 9x13 pan, no need to grease it first.
06 - Mix the cooked beef and blended tomatoes together directly in the pan.
07 - Add chili powder and chunky salsa to the mix, stirring until it’s well blended.
08 - Smooth the combined ingredients out across the baking pan evenly.
09 - Spread a layer of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of everything.
10 - Seal the dish securely with foil to trap in the heat.
11 - With the foil on, bake it for 25-30 minutes to heat thoroughly.
12 - Take the foil off and let it bake for another 5-10 minutes so the cheese gets golden.
13 - Take it out of the oven and allow it to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
