Creamy Beef Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - A pound of ground beef.
02 - Heavy cream, ¾ cup.
03 - One can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, including the liquid.
04 - 8 oz pasta, uncooked.
05 - 1 tbsp olive oil.
06 - Half a sweet yellow onion, diced.
07 - 1½ tsp garlic, minced.
08 - 2 tbsp tomato paste.
09 - ½ tsp Dijon mustard.
10 - A pinch of Italian herbs.
11 - Add salt as needed.
12 - Use black pepper to taste.
13 - Optional: freshly grated parmesan cheese.

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the package directions to boil your pasta in salted water until it’s just firm to the bite.
02 - In a big skillet, warm up some olive oil over medium heat and cook the chopped onion for about 4-5 minutes.
03 - Toss in the ground beef and garlic. Let it cook for roughly 8 minutes, breaking it apart as it browns. Drain off any extra fat.
04 - Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, a little Dijon mustard, and the Italian seasoning. Let it bubble for 4-5 minutes.
05 - Pour in the cream and let it warm up for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens just slightly.
06 - Season with some salt and pepper. Mix the sauce and pasta together, then sprinkle parmesan on top if you’d like.

# Notes:

01 - It can be prepared in advance and gently reheated.
02 - The sauce will become thicker as it sits.
